Bees, Magpies Dominate at League OpenerCoit Park Rangers top the league after one meet, just one point ahead of first night hosts Myers View Magpies. The Bees won the opening match with a narrow 1-0 win against the hosts, but after that the Magpies never looked back. CPR were up again next, thrashing the Bamford Bombers 4-0. Next came an extraordinary game between the Magpies and Mandalecht, featuring some astonishing goals. Magpies fired themselves into the lead with a rocket to the top corner, but that was beaten on quality by an astonishing 30-yard drive from the corner of the shooting area by Mandalecht to level things up at the break. Magpies ran away with things in the second half, scoring the third with a great cut and then the fourth with an amazing chip over the goalie. Coit Park Rangers were up for their third match of the night, with a Rangers derby against Union Avenue. Bees took the lead in the first half but Union came back to equalise after the break. Magpies wrapped up their night with a great 2-0 win over UAR, leaving their opponents unhappy, winless and in fourth place. The evening's matches were concluded with Mandalecht scoring a 2-0 win against Bamford Bombers.
